Summer started in web design in 1995, expanding into full web application development a couple of years later. She joined the Extension family in 2001 to develop what was then called the TCE Bookstore. Over the years, her skills have continued to grow while developing and maintaining a variety of applications as part of the AgriLife IT SDG team, including AgriLife People.
In addition to web application design and development, Summer has extensive expertise in relational database design, query formation, and UI development with HTML 5, jQuery, Bootstrap, raw JavaScript, and CSS.
Outside of work, she enjoys prolific reading, playing a ton of video games, learning piano, writing, cooking, and streaming.
