General Bio:

Dr. Chelsie Huseman is an Assistant Professor and Extension Horse Specialist in the Department of Animal Science at Texas A&M University. Huseman serves the state of Texas by disseminating equine education developed through research. She provides leadership for field and campus faculty, departmental, and Extension personnel in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Extension education programs relevant to the horse. Her programs attract state, national, and international audiences. She leads the Texas A&M Equine Reproductive Management Short Course which is designed for owners and breeding managers who want to learn the most efficient methods for ensuring the success of their breeding programs. She is also the director of the Summer Horsemanship School Program which trains Texas A&M students to be horsemanship instructors to teach clinics across the state. Dr. Huseman also recently developed the Texas A&M International Horsemanship program with other equine faculty to take students overseas to teach horsemanship.

Research:

Dr. Huseman conducts research in areas of whole body vibration, equine reproduction, and virtual reality education/training for equine management practices.
