General Bio:

Dr. Jeff Ripley is the Associate Director for County Operations with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.   In his current role, Jeff provides leadership for the 12 District Extension Administrators who supervise all County Extension Agents across the state.  His primary responsibilities include providing direction to the recruitment, hiring and supervision of county staff, and serving as the administrative liaison for Commissioners Courts.  He began that role on December 1, 2014; prior to that time, he had served as Associate Professor and Extension Specialist for Program Development with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.  Jeff had previously served as the District Extension Administrator in Corpus Christi, Texas with responsibilities of coordinating Extension Programs in 18 Coastal Bend Counties and supervising a staff of approximately 60 County Extension Agents.  Prior to that position, Jeff had served as a County Extension Director and County Extension Agent for 18 years, totaling over 33 years with the Agency.

Jeff holds a BS in Agri-Business from Tarleton State University, and M.Ed. in Agricultural Education from Texas State University and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Education from Texas A&M University.   He and his wife Tina live in Franklin, Texas and have four children.
